Britain's recovery from the depres sion is demonst-i ated by the revised figures of .world ind'astrini production given in the Board of Trade Journal These arc based on a census of production for 1920.
The- index figure for Britain for 193-i is given as 102-3. compared with 91.3 in 1933. The latest figure is only 1 per cent below the 1929 level cf 103.5 and represents a -substantia', advance front the low point or 86.3 touched in 1232.
Apart, from Japan whose production has risen steadily in recent- years Britain is the- only nation whose production has approached the 1929 level
