•AUCKLAND RESTAURANTS INCREASE PRICES. {Press Association). AUCKLAND, April 11. Dearer meals at over twenty restaurants in the city are announced by the' Auckland Restaurant Proprietors’ Association. The increases will commence next Monday. The secretary of the tion, Mr. Page, said that some of the quick-lunch establishments in the city would also' raise their prices. Two and three-course meals will cost 1s 3d and' onecourse meals 1s at restaurants controlled by the association. At present, prices vary from 9d to is, there being no rate fixed toy the association. “The increase in price has been made necessary by the higher cost of such commodities as meat, vegetables and milk,” said Mr. Page.
