SECOND AIR RACE
LONDON TO ADELAIDE. SCHEME FOR, NEXT YEAR’S CENTENARY. (British Official Wireless.). RUGBY, April 10. Mr. R. L. Butler, Premier of South Australia, who is at present in England,, says plans under consideration to commemorate the South Australian Centenary next year • include a suggestion for another air race from England to Australia. It is proposed that the aeroplanes should fly to Adelaide and all carry passengers. Pending a definite proposal from Mr. Butler, aviation authorities are reluctant to discuss the prospects of a London to Adelaide race for commercial machines. Mr. Butler appreciates the prizfe moflby must be substa'ntiMly higher than that for the Melbourne race in tirder to attract a worth'ivhil'b field. Ho intends-to see Mr. .1. A., By oils and seek Commonwealth support.
