ASUTRALIANS HEARTENED. CHILLED BEEF SHIPMENTS INCREASED. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright.) LONDON, April 10. The Dominion Office annouiices that it lias been agreed by the Governments of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth that shipments of chided beef from Australia' shall he increased to 50,0000 cwt. for arrival in the United Kingdom in the April —JuOe period, provided the/ total shipments of frozen and chilled arriving in the quarter does not exceed 331,000 cwt. The Australian Prdss Association says that the agreement gratifies the Australian Ministers, (who have thus achieved the first definite result. The British concession means that Australia is entitled to ship only 4000 cwt, of chilled less than the 60,000 Australia, sought. It, is understood that the agreement involves a corresponding- British concession to other Dominions.
