Morere. — January tally for seven days at the junction with TTnngnron Main Tfigbway shows a total of 4338 vehicles,, or 010' per day, between this junction and Gisborne, an increase, of about 200 vehicles per day on the previous tally.- From" this intersection towards Waii’oa. a total of 2835 vehicles was recorded or 405_ vchidtes a, day, an increase ; of'about ISO per day oyer the previous tally. Hill a total of 751 or 107 per day of sixteen hours was recorded, an increase of about 50 per day over tlie previous tally Gisborne Wairoia via Hangaron. — At, junction ’ with the More re highway January tally—-to °r from' ITa.ngaroa,— on this junction totalled 2453 vehicles of 350 a day,, an increase of about 100 vehicles per day over previous tally. Tt- is to be presumed that the poliev of the Main Highways Board will be largely to provide highways in accordance with traffic tallies andl these figures will thus be of considerable value in determining the economic typo of road to be constructed ”
