An interesting exhibit in a Hamilton aviary is a cross between a gvild pheasant and a domesticated bantam ft is a male bird, about nine months old', and was batched out on Mr T. Nmol's farm at Te Kowhai. It is larger than a pheasant would be at the same ase and, although the feathers are of the samp size anc! shape of a pheasant, the colon ring follows the bantam strain, being led brown. The bird is very timid.
