SUMMARY AND FORECAST /Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 9. General Situation. An anti-cyclone lias been crossing the Dominion, its centre to-day being cast of the North Island. A depression is located over the south-west of the Tasman and another one northwest of Norfolk Island. Forecast. Winds: Increasing north-easterly north of Auckland, elsewhere moderate to strong westerly to northerly. Seas : Rough about Oook Strait; elsewhere moderate, but rising north of East Cape and south of Cape Egrnont. Eastern Tasman: Moderate to utrong winds, rising in parts to gale force, north-easterly in the northern portion and north-westerly in the southern j sens, moderate but increasing. Weather: Scattered rain in the western districts of the South Island, elsewhere mainly fair at first; rain developing soon in the far north, dull misty conditions and rain gradually extending southwards. Mild to warm temperatures.
