Lord and Lady Blcdisloc "oi c guests at luncheon yesterday on Lord Moyne’s yacht, the Rosaura, which left in the afternoon on a cruise, probably to Milford and Marlborough Sounds. The vessel may return to Wellington, but arrangements are more or less indefinite. —P.A.

An announcement that he would contest the Alayoralty at the Tortlicoming municipal election was muhe yesterday by Air D. W. Coleman, M.P. , Air. S. V Beaufoyy who was also requested to stand for the same offic, will not do so, but will be a candidate for a seat on the Borough Council and prohablv, on the Poverty Bay Electric. Power Board. Other probable aspirants for the Council are Air. V. Harm and Air. A. AVade. ?
