OLIVE BROOK AND DIANA WYNYARD IN “WHERE SINNERS MEET”
“Where Sinners Meet’ 1 a. delightful modern comedy, starring Diana Wynyard and Clive Brook, commences to-night at the Opera House. Adapted from A. M. Milnes popular comedy, VThe Dover Road’*, it is said, to be more effective in its new medium than it was on the .stage, and this despite the fact that it convulsed .audiences on three continents for more than a decade before the screen, rights were sold. Running the gamut of comedy, mystery, hilarious ,farce and romance,, “Where Sinners Meet” .is aDo a sparkling phantasy with a. lot of! everyday com mon sense behind it. In a comedy, vein, and without being in the loast_ “preachy’ ‘, it deals with unhappy marriages arid insurgent, mates. Each role in the picture is a, comedy role, and outstanding among j.hem for laugh purposes is that of Billie Burke, as the eloping wife who meets her husband who ir> eloping with another woman, in Brook’s mansion. Reginald Owen, Alan Gilbert Emery, Phyllis Barry and Walter Amiitage are -other members of the cast. Thre .is a good supporting programme. There will bo a matinee to-morrow at 2 p,m. '
