.STEAMER SERVICE TO BE RESTORED (Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 3. The steamer service between Melbourne and Bluff twill be restored at the end of the year. For some months at any rate Hobart will not be included.. The Maheno will inaugurate the service early in November. The itinerary will include Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, the vessel returning from Wellington to Bluff, thence back to Melbourne. Provision will be made for a call on one or two occasions at Milford Sound. The Prime Minister, in announcing tho arrangements made for tlie Bluff-Melbourne service, says it is the outcome of negotiations between the Government and the Union Co. arising out of strong representations by local bodies and organisations in tlie South Island. The case for the service being restarted this year is strengthened by the opportunity offered in the centenary of Victoria.
