GISBORNE REBEKAH LODGE. 'THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY The thirteenth anniversary of tho the above lodge was held in the hall, Derby street, on Thursday. A good muster of members was present and a large amount of business was completed. The evening was thrown opeu for friends and. the hall was filled to its utmost capacity, a very enjoyable evening being spent in- concert items and dancing. During the evening opportunity was taken- to present Sister Ledger with a suitable gift in recognition of her services as pianist of the lodge for the last seven years’ atld the hope was expressed that Sister Ledger will be able to retain the position for a further period. Then wnS presented a very amusing 15 minutes’ play entitled “Getting the Family Photo -Taken”, the parts being taken capably by Sister Robinson (“Gramma”), Sister McLoughlin (“Aunt Marie”), • Sister Cornelius (“Aunt Emily”), Sister Knowles (“George”), Sister Hunter (“Eddie” their daughter) and Sister Alarkio (the photographer! 'and the following items were also 1 very well rendered: Songs’, Miss Higgs, Aliss Surma.ll, Air. Wildman-; recitations, Elva Maliony, Joy Owen, 'Joan Edwards, Miss Iris Somervell, June EUniers, Master Clay; musical monologue, Miss Surman; ..violin solos, Miss Allen and! Airs Moore;‘ dancing, 1 Aliss Fletcher (2)-and Master Hunter. . A very enjoyable ’.evening was brought to a close shortly before midnight.
