Mr Charles Elm and his companions in the Faith in Australia left at 7d/> o’clock this evening in continuation of their flight to Australia When the airmen arrived at Calcutta they were 24 hours ahead of the record recently established by Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, hutin the next two days (they lost- the greater part of this ndvanage. They arrived a Alorstar at 6.10 this morning, and three hours later took the air and headed for Singapore, where they arrived tins afternoon. On taking off again for Sonrabaya, the Faith in Australia was still seven hours ahead of the record. Despite this advantage, Mr Elm said he did nat consider, that there was much hope of breaking the record, although much would depend upon the speed with which they could get away from Sonrabaya.
