Rathsacli, G. 1Bull, Clark, and Robertson (s) 17. Orawshaw, Corson, Miller, and Maude (s) 26 v. H. 11. DeCosta, Fairley, Stoneham, and Stephenson (s) 17.
Farme, York, Naismith, and Sinclair (s) 29 v. Gr.acie, Adams, Williams, and Armstrong (s) 18. Ordinary games played .were as follows:—Tenim, Sutton, A. Hay (s) 18 v. Jones, Beckett, D. McGregor, (s) 17 Crawford and W. 7\. Smith (s) Hi v'. Dodd, Allan (s) 18. Sutton, Holmes (s) beat Crawford, Maude (s). Galvin, Murray (s) beat Balfour., Hay (s), The first contest in the champion pairs competition was a surprise to the large gathering of enthusiasts, when Stephenson and Sinclair, last year’s winners, were defeated by Naismith and Armstrong by a small margin.
The hostesses at afternoon teawere Mesdames R. Robertson and R. J. Clark.
