A resolution to this effect was adopted at the Synod in Napier upon the motion of the Rev. R. Hodgson. Bishop H. Williams spoke in terms of high jiraise of the gifts of the late Mr Holland, and said that the eulogisms paid to his life and work were richly deserved. The resolution was adopted by members of the Synod standing in silence.
