AUSTRIAN 'VARSITIES .CLOSESEQUEL TO PRO-NAZI DEMONSTR A TIONS. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright; VIENNA, Oct. 16. In consequence of the pro-Nazi demonstrations arising out of the establishment of police stations a*- every university to prevent politico] rioting. the universities of Vienna, Innsbruck, and Graz have been closed indefinitely.
The police used rubber truncheons to expel the students, some of whom retaliated with smoke bombs. Many arrests, were made.
