On Saturday’ the weather was ideal for boiwling, an almost entire absence of wind conducing to good play The following games were played on the Gisborne green : Peach, Corson, Johnson, Holmes (s) 19 v. DeCosta, Neal, Hammond, Coleman (s) 13. Young, Jones, Crawford, Murray (s) IS v,. Faniie, York, Riddell, Wi Smith (s) 14. Balfour, Shimmin,, Henderson («) 21 v. Pyke, Taylor, Crawley (s) 21. Waite, .Munro, Bell (s) 20 v. Galvin G. T, Bull, Zacliariah (s) 18. .ChrisP, Dodd, Robertson (s) 30 v. Sheen, McCulloch, J. S. Allan (s) 18. / The following were elected active Messrs G. T. Bull, Fairley and fl'emms. A large number of entries iwere received for the club competitions, members evidently taking a'-keener interest in the arranged contests. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdanies Nasmith and Munro.
