Is ABUT J A CLUB. there was a good attendance of members and visitors on tho Kahn tin Bowling Club’s green on Saturday afternoon, including two rinks from tho Poverty Bay club, one in. quest of the Roosters, and tho other in a friendly game against- a Kahut'ia rink. Morse’s rink, playing well together, was successful in retaining tho Roosters for his club, alter a. very enjoyable contest, in which some fine, bowling on the part of all the players was witnessed. Bennett’s rink, successful the previous Saturday, was defeated bv a team skipped by Roth well, making honors oven, and the third game, to bo played next Saturday, should prove very ‘interesting. King’s Birthday Tourney— Entries' for the King’s Birthday tournament, which close, next Saturday, arc coming in well, and it is expected that a. very successful onodav competition will eventuate. Among the entries so far received are •1 number from sister clubs. Tim rinks will be selected by ballot, and chosen under the grading system.
