important' proposals for . a national; scheme of research into the quality, of New Zealand wool with the object of bringing about an improvement in the standard of exported produce are to be placed before a Dominion conference of sheep breeders to be held at Massey Agricultural Cob logo on Friday. The Government has decided to support the big movement decided- upon by the sheepowners and the • Minister for Agricullure (Mr. MacMillan) will represent the Government at ; the conference. '
The conference will be asked to decide whether a general scheme of research is desirable and possible and whether it would be possible to provide the necessary funds for ths work.
