IMPROVED PRICES
SALE OF TARANAKI BUTTER.
BEST FOR SOME TIME. STRATFORD, May 18. The Stratford Co-operative Dairy Company yesterday sold 11,000 boxes of butter, representing the factory’s .output in store up to the end of May, at per ib. f.o.b. New Zealand. This is believed to be the highest figure realised for butter for some time, and can be taken to indicate the definite upward trend of the market in Britain. The price realised by the Stratford company, is equivalent to about .84/6 per cwt. on the London market.
