An intense anti-cyclone extend? from south-eastern Australia- on to New Zealand, the centre being located west of Otago, while an area of low pressure is located between Queensland and Norfolk Island. Winds: —-Moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly, increasing from Cook Strait- northwards. Sens: —Smooth to moderate at -first but rising on the East Const north of Aharon.
Eastern Tasman, sea :—Moderate strong southeast to east: winds; seas rough in the northern portion, moderate in the southern. Weather’: Fair to tine in most districts, -rain developing in the Far North, extending later to tho eastern districts of the North Island. Cold temperatures.
