OBITUARY
MR. E. B. WALWORTH
This district Jias lust by death another highly esteemed resident in the person of-Mr. Edwin Bainbridge Walworth at the advanced ago of 80 years. Mr. Walworth was born at Leeds. Ho was apprenticed to the engineering trade. Then followed lengthy war service. He was with Ivitclicnci in the Soudan War, and took part in tho battle of Kliartoum, gaining three medals during Hie campaign. Later on, ho wont to Australia, where lie was engaged under contract by Messrs. Cliaffey Bros. , Mildura, on an irrigation scheme. Then for years he was employed hv thri Austral Otos Engineering Co., of Melbourne. He came to New Zealand 3D years ago. For about a quarter of a century he was on the stall' of Messrs. J. J. Niven and Co. His wife died 34 years ago. Much sympathy will be felt for the surviving members of his family: Mr. A E. Walworth, of Auckland; Mr. A. AValwovth, of Gisborne; and Mr. E. Walworth, of Peru, South America. Tlroro are seven \gra.ud-ldaugliltlers, one grandson and + wo groat grandchildren ■ ~ Tho funeral will leave the residence of his son, Mala street, at 2 p.m. to-morrow for Taruhcru cemetery. ,
