The New Zealand band contest was continued- to-day; Following are the-
results: —
Boys’. Competition: B„ Milligan (Timaru) 89pts. 1; J. Power (Timaru) 88 p ts 2; J. Mulligan (St. Joseph’* Orphanage) 87pfcs 3. Flugel Horn.Solo:—o. Lowry jSt. Hilda) SBpts 1.: E. Ormrod (Pori Nicholson) S6pts. '2: E. Bold (Kaikora) SOOpts 3. The second B grade test selection was held in the evening, Nelson Camson securing the highest marks. The judge. (Mr. Frank Wright), said it was a very disappointing standard, much lower than in the first test.
