Another ease of the discovery of a shark’s tooth is reported from Carterton. While engaged in excavation work recently. Mr. Campbell, manager of . the lime works at Ponntahi, found a specimen of a shark’s tooth. The tooth, which is about one and ahal.f inches in length, is in an excellent state of preservation, ft is of the unusual triangular shape, the tip being quite sharp and the sides minutely serrated. Mr. Campbell has another shark’s tooth in his possession which rvas also found at Fountain. It is four inches long and a perfect specimen. An amazing attack was made on the farm-house of Charles.Lov, of Tullyleck, Donaghmore, Ireland. It took place at midnight and lasted four hours.
