The special business was the initiation' of it member, Sister Wallen presiding at the organ in the absence ol Bto-. J. A. Vagg, while Bro. C. D. McKay, P-G.. assisted by Sister I). A. -Cook, N-G., were the conductors, the filial charge and the presentation of the lodge badge being undertaken by the secretary; honors were submitted by the lecture master, Bro. H. T. Slinden, P.G. Clayton, P.G., special sick visitor, expressed regret that several of the members were making very slow progress in tli.eir illness, and several accidents had occupied to mombors dttriue the past fortnight. Leave of absence was granted to Bro. R. AV. Wallen, FXL, and uUo the secretary, from the next lodge meeting, as the members mentioned were leaving that clay to attend t c district conference.
