Cleaver, Corn and Aluir. Both crews were away evenly at the start and hung together over half the distance of the course. A few hundred yards past the footbride a mishap in Hunter’s boat gave AVeatJieiTy a lead of about a length, wjiich lie maintained over the remainder of the course and passed the post first, that distance ahead.

In the next race AlcOallum (str.), Alaleolrnson, Cowan and Hall defeated Lo Coinpte (sLr.) Owen, Shaw and Egan. This was the better race, bub Lo Comptc, who was behind most of the way, did not allow liis opponents tq draw very far ahead. At the post, however. McCallum managed to win by about half a length. On Monday evening T. Alexander and Scaly raced the youths’ double sculls representatives, the latter having been challenged by the former pair. The selected crow, however, had no difficulty in disposing of their opponents.
