The Federal -Steam Navigation Company’s vessel Northumberland arrived from Wellington on Sunday morning, but owing to-the adverse weather was unable to load. yesterday. It. is hoped to be able to complete her loading to-day and dispatch her for Napier. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Pakeha, which arrived on Saturday to .load' for Home - , put -to -Sea- yesterday mornifig-bn account of the southerly weather, but returned to her anchorage at 3.50. The Poolta, with southern cargo, left Wellington on Saturday for Napier. She is due here on Wednesday n.nd on completion of discharge and loading will return to Wellington en route, to southern ports to load again for Napier and Gisborne. The Kalingo is fixed to load at Sydney about the end of January and ab Newcastle early' in February, taking general cargo and coal for Napier and Gisborne. 'The Wa-imea is loading to-day at Auckland for Gisborne and Napier. She is due hero on Thursday morning.
