Referring to his donation of prizes for the best three pairs of hindquarters shown in Ihe freezing cattle section. at the forthcoming Masterton Show, Mr. P. Borthwiek, of the firm •of T. Borthwiek and Sons, Ltd., explained at a meeting of the general committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association, that he had specified hind-quarters in view of the fact that his firm was sending Home an experimental shipment of chilled beef. The hindquarter was the most, important part of tho bullock and he thought that if the chilled beef industry was developed in Now Zealand —and he hoped it would he—-the trade would probably he in hindquarters only.
