BRADMAN REFUSES BRITISH

LONDON, January 11
Bradman has cabled the Rochdale Club liis reply to the offer of £IOCO for the 1934 season as follow'*: ”1 regret that I am uuabie i-o accept. I am writing in explanation, and appreciate the offer.
It was announced iu Melbourne on January 2 that Bradman had received several invitations, to play wit-' English clubs when his present Australian contract expired. An official of the Ram shot tom Club (one of the Lancashire League clubs) stated that, answering an indirect approach, Bradman had replied that his Australian contract is binding until 193-1. Air. Foster, vice-chairman of the club, stated that Euinsbottom would probably pay Bradman more than the maximum rate fixed during the previous negotiations for a professional. He considered that the senson’s gate would exceed £IOOO with Bradman playing.
GRIMMETT APPROACHED BY RAMSBOTTOM CLUB.
