NOTES. The Poolta. is scheduled tu load at southern ports for Napier and Gisborne, leaving Dunedin and Oamaru on Tuesday next, working Timaru on Wednesday. Lyttelton on Thursday, thence Wellington. She is due at Gisborne again about January 25. The Totara is now loading coal at Greymouth for Gisborne where she is due about Monday next.

The Cumberland, which replaces the Northumberland, is fixedato load at Tokomaru Bay on or about 25th inst. taking frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London. The Awahoii loaded at Wellington on Monday and Tuesday for Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is due here to-day.

The Margaret W left Westport on Monday night and will arrive at Tokomaru 33av this morning.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Palceha, is expected Imre on Jan. IS to load frozen meat, butter, cheese, wool and tallow for London. The Northumberland is fixed to load at Tokomaru Bay on or about January 15, and at Gisborne about January 19, taking frozen meat, wool, and General cargo for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. The Aorangi left Vancouver fen route for Sydney on January 4, Honolulu on January 14-, leaves Suva on January 20, arrives at Auckland on January 23 and sails tho next day for ■ Sydney, where she is due on January 28. The Niagara left Sydney on route for Vancouver on January 5, Auckland oh January 10, leaves Suva to--day, Honolulu on January 20, and arrives at Vancouver on January 27. The Makura, which left Sydney cn route for San Francisco bn December 22, and proceeded via Wellington, Rarotonga and Tahiti is due at San Francisco to-day. Tlie vessel returns on the southward trip, leaving Frisco on route for Sydney on January 18, Tahiti on January 28, Rarotonga on .January 31, arriving at Wellington oh February G, and sailing the next: day • for Sydney where she is due on February 11. The Maunganui, which left- San Francisco on December 21 'and proceeded via Tahiti - and Rarotonga, left Wellington on Tuesday and is due at Sydney on, January 14. The vessel returns on the northward trip, leaving Sydney cn route for ’Frisco, on Januaiy • 28, Tahiti on January 30, and arrives at ’Frisco oii February 10.
