Lyons appealing to him to intervene to settle the disagreement between the 'American film distributors and the Australian Exhibitors’ Union. They informed the Prime Alinistcr that unless immediate action was taken 10,000 theatrical employees in Australia would become unemployed owing to thb closing of theatres.
