MOST san-Ouine FRIENDS BE-
COME ANXIOUS
(U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Jan. 9.
On tlio evo of his departure for Australia in an attempt to beat Air Bultler’-s record, Squadron-Leader Bert Hinklor appointed a firm of solicitors his business agents. They have had no Blows of him during tho afternoon, which discounts the prevalent theory that unrecognised ho refuelled at an out-of-the-way place and began tho second hop, This is also minimised by ;the fact that the Press Association has definitely established that Athens was Hinkler’s fir’st fuelling call. It. is now feared that Hinkler encountered trouble Over the Adriatic or over one of tlio myriad islands along the Grecian coast. Even his most sanguino friends are becoming anxious, since inqiury from every large centre a's far as Cairo i.s proving fruitless.
