WAITARA DISTURBANCE
MAN FINED 80. (Press Association.' NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 9. Arising out of the Waitara disturbance, Wati Shelford appeared in Waitara. this morning before J. P.’s charged with drunkenness and disorderly conduct in the main street on Saturday night. Constable Tocker said that he warned accused to go home but he came back and bis puglistic conduct had something to do with the later trouble. The Bench pointed out that the offence wa s very grave under the existing conditions in Waitara. Accused who- pleaded guilty, was lined £5 and warned that a much heavier penalty would be imposed next time. ALLEGED DAMAGE TO MOTOR CYCLE. MAN REMANDED. iPrpso .Aasocial inn . NEW PLYMOUTH. Jam 9. Before Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M. in New. Plymouth. Richard Paerau Partridge was charged with unlawfully damaging a motor cycle valued at £SO, the property of , Arthur Promt.
