STILL NO LABOR OFFERING

INVERCARGILL, Jan. 9
No labor was offering when, the Lip ton, Mossbank, Wa'irakei, and Black Diamond mines opened this morning, gfter nearly five months’ strike. The men by a largo majority reaffirmed their previous decision to stand , against the owners’ terms, especially the “hire and fire” clau’se. The owners meet during the week to consider their course of action.
