Meeting at Hastings on Saturday, some 250 fruit-growers gave full consideration to a suggestion that the whole of next season’s export crop should he disposed of to Messrs. H. Goodwin Ltd., of Loudon. Messrs. F. T. Kirk, W. M. Hall, J. C. Hardy and E. G. Crawford represented Poverty Bay growers at the meeting and they found that, prior to the discussions, most of the delegates were opposed to the suggestion. Following the expounding of the views of the Fruit Export Control Board, however, there was a change of attitude and a motion recommending the hoard to favorably consider' the proposal was carried. Negotiations are at present under way and some finality should he reached in the course of a few days. Mr. E. T.
