YOUTH IN .'•LB10 US CONDITION. NEARLY ELECTROCUTED BIRD\XESTING. (Prc-s Association-! HASTINGS. Jan. 0. Leslie Bruce Boyd, a id-year- YYostshoi'e boy. is in an unconscious condition in Napier Hospital as a result of coming in contact with an 11,000 volt power line when endeavouring to secure a bird's nest at the top of a power pole on WesDhore embankment. He is suffering from burns to tlie face ami arm as well as from buises Uo sustained a '2d-foot fall. The full exteui of injuries cannot be ascertained, but bis condition is serious.
