'the nation lie served paid its last honors on Saturday to Air. Calvin Coolidge. The body Jay in state for an hour in the morning in the Edward Congregational Church, Northampton, Massachusetts, while hundreds filed by. President Hoover sat with, bowed head throughout the service. Next to him was Airs Hoover and then Airs. John Coolidge and Airs. Coolidge and her son John. A quartette sang “Lead Kindly Light,” alter which the minister read the Scriptures, and offered prayer, and the quartette sang “O Love That Will Not Let Ale Go.” After the simple service, the- body was escorted by motor by members of the family and closest friends to the ancestral home of the Coolidges at Plymouth, Vermont, 100 miles away, where the body was laid in the family plot, where also reposes Air. Coolidgc’s father, who swore him into the highest office in the land, and Air. Ooolidge’s own son, Mr. Calvin Coolidge, whose death robbed the Presidency of its power and glory for Air. Coolidge.
