FREEZING DISPUTE
MEETING OF LOCAL WORKERS
REQUEST THAT UNIONISTS
SHOULD WITHDRAW FROM HAITI WORKS.
DECISION DEFERRED
It is reported that the business placed before a meeting of the Freezers’ Union yesterday was a request from the committee at headquarters which is handling the dispute for the men that unionists at present working at Ivaiti works should he asked to withdraw to-day. The decision reached, it is understood, was that the committee should be invited to send a representative to Gisborne for consultation ( on the spot.
