SUMMARY AND FORECAST
GENERAL SITUATION
Ohoss Association
Dressui'c is very low to-day in the neighbourhood ol the Chatham Islands but has been rising slowly over New Zealand, with tho advance of a slight anti-cyclone across the Tasman Sea. A slight depression has crossed Tasmania to-day.
FORECAST
Winds:—South-west strong on parts of the Kasfc Coast, but otherwise moderate, veering to westerly and northwest shortly in and south of Cook Strait.
Seas, (New Zealand waters): —A considerable southerly swell south of East Cape, elsewhere moderate.
Tasman Sea :—Moderate south-west winds in the northern portion, and freshening westerlies in the southern portion ; seas moderate. "Weather:—For the most part fair to fine, but some isolated showers pro liable at first along the East Coast, and later in the western and far southern portions of the South Island. Temperatures cool but becoming warm er in the morning.
