During a discussion on faith healing by the Hunterian Society at Apothecaries Hall, E.C., London, Air. C. L. Duncan Fitzwilliams, iho surgeon •and radium authority, Burrowed a penknife, and drew it across bis finger. Doctors and clergymen in the audience saw the blood spurt from his finger. But when they examined the surgeon’s finger they could find no soar. Air. Fitzwilliams was demonstrating that what appears to be real may not necessarily be. real. “It was a simple conjuring trick with which I deluded the audience,” he explained to a “News-Chronicle” reporter. “No, I am not going to say how it- is done.”
