ASSAULT IN DOMAIN. MAN AND WOMAN INJURED. (Press Association.> LEVIN, January 4. While a young couple- were sitting in the Levin Domain on New Y’ear’s Day it is alleged that they were struck on the head by an old man. A gash on. the girl’s head required three stitches and one on her companion’s head two stitches. The young man grappled with his assailant, hut ho escaped after being knocked to the ground. AVilliam Charles Norman was arrested by the Levin, police and appeared in the Police Court charged with assault, causing bodily harm. Ho. was remanded to appear on January 10.
