BRISBANE, Dee. 23Although her hod was smashed arid the room wrecked, Mrs. Margaret McNair, 02, was only slightly shaken when a runaway taxi-cab crashed through the front of her house late on. Sun da v night. Mrs. Ethel Brethorton. 23, who was in the call, was badly cut about the face, and was taken to the General Hospital. Robert Galt, who was also in the cab, received n small cut on ihe chin. The cab had been stopped at the top yf Little George street. Spring Hill. When the driver got out i" open the door it began to move down the steep incline, leapt the footpath and crashed through the front of Mrs. McNair's room. TAXI ABOVE BED. Mrs. McNair sa'd she was awakened h.v a terrific; crash mingled with the sound of breaking glass. She felt a violent impact, and when she recovered from being dazed she could distinguish tiie taxi cab right over the top of her hod. which had been smash e<l To the floor.
