Woodlands Mall. Opotiki. was the scene of a happy gathering on NewYear's Eve when an exceptional A' large attendance of dancers gathered to bid fare wo!] to the Old Year ami t-o welcome the New. A icily atmosphere prevailed, the- gaiety -being added to with gaily colored sTf,;-a met u and novelty danees. Excellent music was provided by ihe Semin Orchestra, Ali.-:s T. Handily playing an extra. Air. 11. Armstrong was U.C. Novelty dances were won by Alias N. Bark'ntou and Mr. V. Fox anj Aims At. Eason and Mr. R. Anderson.
