GISBORNE BOARD MEETING. The monthly meeting; of the Gisborne . Land • Board was held yesterday, the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr. IF. L. Primrose, presiding over the following: Messrs R. H. Wicksteed, J. H. Re id and G* ORonovan. Dates for meetings.-in 1933, as sug. gosted by the Commissioner' were approved as follows: January 13. February 10. March 10, April 7, May I*2, June 9. July 11, August U. September 15. October 13. November 10, and December 1. The following business was dealt with:— Application for land.—Mr. C. 11 Fleming applied for a right to occupy a k nut 11 area of Crown laud ’uu the foreshore opposite blocks 111 and IV. Oliiwa township: The applicant was granted a temporary right to occupy . sit an annual rental of £l. under section 147 of the Land Act, 1924. Application for Land.—-Tames Lyon. section 3 and • blocks XL YVaiocka s.d.. and section 1. block XII, and section 1, block XV- Waiawa s.d-: The application was cancelled. Disposal of land.—The board considered the queytiou of the disposal of section. J. block XIV. Matakaoa. s.d.. 746 a.: ft was resolved that as the area was unsuitable for settlement it should be retained as a bush reserve. Disposal of land.—The board considered the disposal of section ,5. block X. Tualiu s.d.. 1525 a: I t was .resolved to re-offer on a renewable [case at a value of £7OO, weighted with improvements valued a t- £IOSO. payable by instalmentsExpiry of S.G.R. lease. —It was reported that lease 103, held by 'William Southern, over run 92. block XFII. Mata s.d.. 24.78 a, would expire on February 28, 1935. and the board was asked to consider the question of renewal: The fields inspector. Mr. J). G. Robertson, was appointed to make the necessary report and valuations. F. .11. l.oisel applied for a reduction in the amount of tire annual rental payable by him under Ids miscellaneous license over part of Waihou IB block. 140 a: It teas resolved to reduce the annual rental to £4O for one year. Application for land.—Robert Irwin applied for a right to occupy 5l) acres of Crown lands in blocks T to V. V'aioeka s.d.: It wag resolved to cancel the previous offers of grazing rights and to offer the applicant a right t 0 occupy at a rental of £6 per annum, subject to one month’s notice. Application for land.-—Section 3, block XV., Taraniaraiua s.<l., 1496 a 2r 34p, on renewable lease, Alan Lewis McKinnon: Granted. Application for land.— Lot 2, of section 3, block I. ilotii west. 1566 a 2r 2 p, Mrs. AV. B. Candy: Refused.
