The Chancellor envisaged the creation of a mighty Holy German Empire stretching from the Alps to Alemel. He declared that President Hiudenburg could ensure this heritage of Bismarck and again become the hope of coining generations. “We desire," lie said, "to create a great non-party State power, which shall not be thrown hithejr and thither as a shuttlecock- by the political and social forces el Europe. Conditions will continue critical as long as Germans were kept in subjection. We do not desire an armaments race nor a warlike adventure.” ALLEGED TREASON PLOT BY EX-CROWN PRINCE. (U.P.A. by Elec Tel. Copyright.) BERLIN. Oct. 12. The Yorwaerts’ story, accusing the ex-Crown Prince of treason, is officially declared to be a product of the imagination. The Vonvaerts accused the exCrown Prince ot plotting the restoration of the Monarchy, and demanded that the Government and the Supreme Court, should do its duty. The newspaper said it could prove that the ex-Crown Prince had openly declared that Herr von Papen. General Schleicher, and Marshal von Hindenburg had agreed to seek an opportune moment for the President to resign and appoint the ex-Crown Prince regent.
