At an early hour this morainct it was learned that fill,, toi’al of entries had reached 2540. which is an increase of nine on the record e«tal lisliecl in the -Jubilee year. 1929. and an increase of ISB on lasi. year. .V batch of approximately 100 entries, not included in the above total, is in the hands of an official of the association, so that the final tally will he very substantially above the old record. In addition a number of late cid ties are expected hv'post to-day. It is a very gratifying result for the association and is a splendid augury for the success of the approaching fixture.. The entries received are ■spread over all sections and the several new elas.sos* have, scoured substantial quotas.
