DEFALCATIONS IN HIGH COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright.) LONDON, October 11. Ernest Toms, 41, finance officer, and Arnold Horn, auditor of the New Zealand High Commissioner’s Office, were remanded on bail at Bow Street, when they were charged with stealing £3O on September 8 and £45 on September 14, belonging to the Government of New Zealand. Counsel, in applying for bail, said Toms had been 20 years in the Government’s employ Although lie had been suspended, he had given all the information possible. %l _ ■ ■ ■
