INSPECTION COMMITTEE. TJje Inspection Com mi Lieu reported on the following mu tiers to the Borough Council oji Tuesday evening. “Parau Street.—The loot-walk down the side of the creek has been regraded and shingled, and a big improvement effected. , “Erection Breastwork, Riverside Road.—This work is almost completed many setbacks having been experienced owing to the quicksand nature of: the ground. Investigations are still .proceeding in connection with the break in the Wlest-end sewerage, but nothing definite lias been ascertained •so far. . “Lyfton Road metalling.—Opportunity wais taken of inspecting Lytton 'road extension across the Waikanac ktream .where same has lately been /trimmed up under Scheme o to make a stock track to the abattoirs. “Borough Yard.—The usual operations were in progress at the council's yard, Childers road. The rotary ■crusher, removed from Grey street railway station, is in course of erection, and the complement of Napier shingle is' to hand, and same is. being • screened in readiness for hot mix .work.
