As a result of the quarterly adjustment. of Federal basic wages, which arc based on the retail price index for food, the Now South Wales ratq will bo 2s a week lower; Western Australia. Is 6d; Tasmania, 6d higher; and other States unchanged. The now rates will he ns follows: New South Wales, £3 16s (id; Victoria, £!i 10s 6d; Queensland, £3 ss; South Australia, £3 -Is 6d; Western Australia, £3 7s (id; Tasmania, £3 12s.
