BLOOD TRANSFUSION GROUP

It is hoped that, ah a result of a small preliminary meeting of Wellington doctors, liold to-day, a central lilood transfusion group, properly organised, will soon become a valuable auxiliary to the medical services of flip city. Voluntary blood donorr, will bo classified and the organisation will make ; t possible tor u suitable donor to he produced at a- moment's notice. L will also protest the • intorests of the donors, themselves.
Dr. R. Campbell Bogg presided at Hie meeting, which had been convened by Rover Leader 0. Aleachou, metropolitan secretary of the Wellington headquarters of the Ifoy Scouts’ Association. The Rover*.! have for some time had a blood transfusion group of their own, consisting of some 30 young men. D i.s expected that, when the central group of donors has been organised, there will, be a night and day telephone service, with a secretary arid committee comprising, among others, medical men of standing, in order to carry out blood testing and divide .the dinofs into groups suitable for the various classes of patients.
