Manchester Unity Oddfellows, Loyal Gisborne Lodge, 6087, held its fortnightly meeting an Monday night. Bro. R. W. Wallen, Noble Grand, prodding over a fair nufiiber of members, Bro. J. A. Vagg presided at the organ, assisting considerably in the enjoyment of the evening. The sick list reported upon by the sick visitors was 'lengthy, several cases of a troubles’nme nature being in hospital. A lengthy dfecussion took place over the proposed hospital scheme, which on the whole received tho approbation of members; several minor matters will bo presented to the council lor consideration.. Tho newly-installed lodge officers are very enthusiastic in their worlc, which- should prove of great benefit to tho lodge. The annual balance .sheef- is now ready for presentation to members and it will be considered with important business next lodge night.
